I Will Obey Jesus
This Week’s Bible Verse: “But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand.” Matthew 7:26
This Week’s EXCLUSIVE: Reinstatement of Peter John 21:1-19
Family Activity:
Design a scavenger hunt for your family members. Give clues to different locations. Each clue should have an instruction to obey. Some suggested rules are: no running, no pushing, go through the steps in order. Some suggested tasks are: doing push ups, finding a picture of each family member, looking up a verse in the Bible and reading it out loud, looking through a newspaper or magazine until you find a family member’s name. At the end, the winner should get a cool prize. The prize could be a special treat or a special privilege that your children will enjoy. Discuss with your children that if they had not obeyed, they would not have gotten the prize. In the same way that we needed to obey the instructions during the game, we need to obey Jesus in life. When we do, things will go better for us.

Main Point: I Will Obey!
Bible Story: Miraculous catch of fish John 21:1-10 (NLT)
Bible Verse: “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 (NLT)
Family Activity - Simon Says
Take time this week to play “Simon Says” as a family. After you play the game, sit down with your children and talk about obedience.
Explain to your family that great leaders know that God wants us to obey Him. We obey God by obeying the things He tells us in the Bible and by obeying our parents. Remind your children that when they obey you (their parents) and their teachers, they are obeying God as well. Pray with your children and ask God to help them to be obedient to Him and also to you.
See you Next Sunday!
