Roanoke Jones - Elementary
Lesson Goal: The children learned that we should pray to God and ask Him for help.
Main Point: I Will Ask God For Help!
Bible Story: The case of the servant's quest. (Genesis 24)
Memory verse: "But in my distress I cried out to the Lord; yes, I prayed to my God for help. He heard me from his sanctuary; my cry to him reached his ears." Psalm 18:6 NLT.
Activities
Using magazines cut out each letter in the Main Point. After you cut the letters out, work together to put the letters in order and paste them onto a sheet of paper. Post the paper up somewhere in your house so you can see it throughout the week and remember the Main Point.
Take time this week to ask family members if they’ve ever had a time in their lives when they didn’t know what to do. How did they end up handling that situation?
Roanoke Jones Jr. - Pre-K and Toddlers
Main Point: God Made People
Bible Story: Genesis 1:6-8
Activity
Read the story in Genesis 1:26-31 about God making all the people on earth. Talk about the different people in your child’s life and how God specifically made each one of them.
Be sure and check back in later in the week for more activities.
