I Will Remember What Others Have Done For Me!

Write the Main Point on a sheet of paper in large handwriting. Take turns as a family rewriting the Main Point, getting smaller and smaller each time you write it, until you can’t write it any smaller.
Bible Verse: “They share freely and give generously to those in need. Their good deeds will be remembered forever. They will have influence and honor.” Psalm 112:9 NLT
Read the Bible Story together: The Case of Pharaoh’s Dream. (Genesis 40-41)
Ask family members if there has ever been a time when someone did something very special for them. How did they feel when it was done? What did they do afterwards?

Remember
We all have times in our lives when someone helps us or does something nice for us. Just as the cup-bearer and Pharaoh remembered what Joseph had done for them and did something nice for Joseph in return, we need to do the same thing. As a family, think of something someone has done for all of you in the past. This could be one person who has done a lot for the whole family, or each family member can choose a person. Think of something you can do for the people who have blessed you and your family in the past and do it. You could write thank you notes, bake them cookies, or send them flowers. Remind your child that we should remember when others help us and dosomething nice in return.

God Made The Fish And Birds!

Bible Story: Genesis 1: 20-23
This week, read about God creating the fish and the birds in Genesis 1:20-23. Talk to your child about all the different fish that swim in the ocean and lakes, and the birds that fly around the sky.

Activity: Feed The Birds
Sometime this week, make a bird feeder with your child and hang it outside where you can see it often. Whenever you see birds near it, remind your child that God made all the birds that fly in the air, and all the fish that swim in the water. A simple birdfeeder can be made by putting peanut butter or corn syrup on a pinecone, rolling it in birdseed, and hanging it in a tree.
