Main Point: I Will Keep On Telling Others To Do What Is Right!
Bible Verse: “You must teach these things and encourage the believers to do them. You have the authority to correct them when necessary, so don’t let anyone disregard what you say.” Titus 2:15 (NLT)
Bible Story: Nehemiah confronts the nobles and officials. Nehemiah 5:1-13)
Main Point Review Activity:
Sit in a circle together as a family. Have a parent say the Main Point, but mix the words up. Take turns having each family member correct the parent and say the Main Point correctly.
Try This!
Nehemiah confronted the nobles and told them that what they were doing was wrong. He told them what to do to make it right. When you see people doing something wrong, you should tell them to do what is right too. This week, go outside and work in the yard together as a family. (Or any other job that the entire family can work on together.)
• Give each family member a job to do. Have one person be the Leader and teach family members how to do their jobs, but teach them wrong.
• Assign the Corrector the job of correcting the Leader each time they say the wrong thing. For instance, the Leader would tell someone weeding the flowerbeds to pet the weeds instead of pulling them and throwing them away.
• The Corrector would then explain the right way to pull weeds so that that person could do the job the right way.
• The Corrector should make sure to use patience and encouragement when teaching the right way to do things.
• Continue doing this for each job assignment until everyone is doing their jobs correctly and the yard work is finished.
• The bible says we should correct and encourage others to do the right thing. Just like Nehemiah corrected the nobles, we need to help our friends and family members do what is right too!

Main Point: I Will Be Patient!
Bible Story: Esau loses his birthright to Jacob. (Genesis 25:27-34)
Bible Verse: “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good.” Galatians 6:9a (NLT)
Family Activity - Wait For It!
When it’s snack time, have your children sit down at the table. Tell them it’s time for snack and ask them to be patient. Choose a snack that take a little bit of time to prep (Peanut butter crackers, apples and cheese, or popcorn.)
While you are preparing the snack, talk about how they can be patient (Wait in a nice way. Don’t get upset when you have to wait. Don’t whine while waiting.)
Once the snack is ready, ask each child to pray and thank God for the snack and for helping him or her to be patient. After the prayer, thank each child for being patient while waiting for the snack. Then, give them the snack and enjoy it together.
