Main Point: I Will Keep Doing My Part Of God’s Plan!
Bible Verse: “All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.” 1 Corinthians 12:27 (NLT)
Bible Story: Nehemiah and the people begin to rebuild the wall. (Nehemiah 2:11-3:32)
Main Point Review Activity:
Write down each word of the Main Point on slips of paper. Have one family member hide the words in your house while the other family members wait in another room. When the slips of paper are hidden, have each family member be responsible for finding two to three slips of paper each and bringing it back to the family. Once all of the slips of paper are found, work together to put the words in the correct order.
Try This!
In this week’s Bible Story, each group had a specific job to do in order to rebuild the wall. This week, pick a project to complete as a family.
• You could wash the family car or build and plant a garden in your backyard.
• Once you have chosen the project, give family members specific jobs on the project that only they can accomplish.
• For example, if you are washing the family car, have one person in charge of spraying the car with the hose, another in charge of washing, and another in charge of drying.
• Be sure to focus on how it takes each person doing his or her job in order to complete the project.
• Just as Nehemiah and the people who helped rebuild the wall each had jobs to do. We each have our job to do in God’s plan. We must each do our own part so that the plan can be successful!

Main Point: I Will Obey When I Am Tired!
Bible Story: Joshua and the battle of Jericho. (Joshua 6:1-20)
Bible Verse: “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good.” Galatians 6:9a (NLT)
Family Activity: Jericho March
Gather the family together and read that Bible Story of Joshua and the battle of Jericho in Joshua 6:1-20. Tell your family that you are going to act out the seventh day of the Bible Story together by marching around your house or apartment building seven times. As you march, talk about how the people might have felt as they were marching around Jericho. Remind your family that your house or apartment building is much smaller than a whole city. If you feel tired from marching around the house or apartment building, think how tired you would be marching around an entire city.
After you have walked around the house or apartment building seven times, talk about how the Israelites kept obeying even when they were tired. Then, talk about some times when each person in the family might get tired of obeying and how they can remember to keep obeying. Wrap up by praying and asking God to help everyone remember to obey even when they get tired of obeying!
