Power UP - Elementary
Main Point: I Will Be Honest
Write each word of the Main Point on an index card. As a family, take turns timing each other to see who can put the cards in order the fastest.
Bible Verse: “Honesty guides good people; dishonesty destroys treacherous people.” Proverbs 11:3 (NLT)
Bible Story: Man of God from Judah. (1 Kings 13)
Family Activity: Tell The Truth Ball Pass
God wants us to always tell the truth. Sit in a circle as a family and play a game of Tell The Truth. Beginning with one family member, have him or her roll the ball to someone else in the circle. Each time the ball is rolled to you, share one truthful fact with your family. For instance, you might say your favorite color or ice cream flavor. After some time has gone by, change the rules to have the person who rolls the ball say a truthful statement about the family member who receives the ball. Remind your children that God always wants us to tell the truth. We should tell the truth at all times!

Main Point: I Will Do Things For Others!
Bible Story: Jesus Washing the Disciples Feet (John 13:1-17)
Bible Verse: “Do what is right and good in the Lord’s sight, so all will go well with you.” Deuteronomy 6:18a (NLT)
Family Activity Secret Family Member
Your children learned about Jesus washing the disciples’ feet this week. They learned that God wants them to do things for others, too. One day this week, place a picture of all of your family members into a bowl. Allow every family member to choose one picture from the bowl. The picture each family member chooses is the Secret Family Member for each person. Tell your children to do three nice things for his or her Secret Family Member that day. Make sure to tell your children to keep his or her Secret Family Member a secret for the whole day. That night, come together as a family and eat dinner together. While having dinner together, let each person reveal who his or her Secret Family Member was for the day. Remind them that Jesus did something for the disciples when He washed their feet and Jesus wants us to do things for others, too.
