This Week in NewLife kids

Adventures With Veggie Tales - Toddlers

Main Point: God is bigger than anything I’m afraid of and He will help me.

Memory Verse:
“So do not be afraid I am with you.” Isaiah 41:10

Bible Story:
Jesus walks on water Matthew 14:22-33

This week we talked about being afraid. We all have fears that unsettle us and need to be reminded that "God is bigger that anything I'm afraid of". Scripture tells us in Isaiah 41:10 "So do not be afraid I am with you". Wow! Let's remind our children when they come to us in fear that we do not have to be afraid because God is with us.

Elementary and Pre-K

This week we had our Fall "Funday Sunday". We played games and took some time to talk about what we are thankful for and reminded the children that God is bigger than any fear that may seize us.

Memory Verse: God did not give us a spirit that makes us afraid. He gave us a spirit of power and love. 2 Timothy 1:7

This Week in NewLife Kids

Starlight Station - Elementary and Pre-K

Main Point: Servant Leaders Want Others To Succeed

Bible Story: Joseph’s brothers sell him into slavery Genesis 37:12-36

Memory Verse: “A peaceful heart leads to a healthy body; jealousy is like a cancer in the bones.” Proverbs 14:30 NLT

Can you imagine having your brothers wanting you dead? Or selling you into slavery? If they did what would you do? This week we learned about what Joseph did in the face of adversity after adversity. He did not get mad or feel sorry for himself - he made the most of the situation. He did his best and encouraged others around him to do their best. He did not resent others succeeding - but cheered them on. Because of the way he lived his life others were watching and in the end Joseph was rewarded for the way he lived his life. Let's use Joseph's life as an example and encourage others to succeed around us.

**Remember** to bring your canned food item to serve others.

Adventures with Veggie Tales - Toddlers

Main Point: God made everyone different for a special reason.

Memory Verse: “Christ has accepted you. So accept one another in order to bring praise to God.” Romans 15:17

Bible Story: The Conversion of Paul Acts 9:1-19

This week we learned that God made us special so that we can do what he made us to do. I love watching our toddlers. Even at such a young age, I can see different character traits in them. Some are greeters, some are comforters, some are leaders and they are all working together to learn more about God each week.

See you next Sunday - have a good week!

So come each week ready to strap in and hold on for an out-of-this-world experience.

This Week In NewLife Kids

Under The Big Top - Elementary

MAIN POINT: God Is Preparing Me For More Gifts!

BIBLE STORY: Elijah trains Elisha to replace him. (1 Kings 19:19 - 21, 2 Kings 2:1 -14)

BIBLE VERSE: “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” Philippians 1:6 (NLT)

This Week we talked about how God is preparing us and the gifts that he has given us for the future. As we use the gifts that God gives us today and are faithful to God with them, he will give us more gifts because he knows that he can trust us to use those gifts also. I am excited to see all the gifts that God has already given the kids at NewLife. I see them in action when a visitor comes and they are welcomed and included or when one of the kids needs help and they jump in to help. Be on the look out for the good things that your child does and encourage them to continue to use all the gifts that God has already given them.

Under The Big Top Jr.- Pre-K and Toddlers

Main Point: I Will Pray

Bible Story: Daniel and the lion’s den (Daniel 6:1 - 23)

Bible Verse: “Never stop praying.” 1 Thessalonians 5:17 NLT

We talked about praying this week. Our bible verse says, never stop praying. That means we pray when we are happy, we pray when we are sad, we pray when we are getting our way, and we pray when we do not get our way. Take time this week to pray at different times during the day with your child. Have them lead the pray if they will - you just may be surprised and humbled by their prayers.

See you next Sunday as we dock on Starlight Station and begin our journey in outer space.
