Choosing Good Food
One of the ways we can take care of our bodies is by eating healthy foods. This is important because God made us and gave us our bodies. Pick one thing to eliminate from your diet this week as a family. You could give up candy, dessert, or soda. Work together as a family to stay away from that food item all week! Find some healthy alternatives you could enjoy together as a family instead. Maybe instead of eating dessert, your family could go on an after dinner walk together. Whatever you choose to do together, remember to emphasize the importance of taking care of the bodies God gave us!

I Will Use Good Words!
Words have the ability to hurt or heal. Sunday, your child learned about using good words. As a family, work together this week to use kind words with each other. When you hear your child using good words, make sure to praise them and tell them what a good job they are doing. You might play the opposite game as a family. Each person should take a turn and say a word that might not be kind. Another person should say the opposite word that would be a better choice. For example, you might say, “I don’t like this food.” Then have your child say something good such as, “This is tasty food! Thanks, Mom!” This is a great activity to play during dinner when you are all sitting around the table together. Learning to use good words is important and can be fun!
