Main Point: Listen And Obey And On Solid Ground You’ll Stay!
Make up hand motions to help you and your child remember the Main Point. Have
your family members say the Main Point imitating the voices of their favorite
actors or actresses.

Firm Foundation
Gather your family
near a bed or a large sofa with large cushions. Challenge one member of your
family to try to balance on one foot standing on the bed or sofa. Then have the
other family members use their hands to bounce and push down on the cushions to
make the person standing lose his or her balance. Make it clear that no one can
touch the person who is balancing. They can only touch the bed or sofa cushion
they are standing on. Be ready to help catch the person who falls. After
everyone has tried it, do the same thing with the person trying to balance on
the floor. Have everyone else try to hit and stomp on the floor, but make sure
that they don’t touch the person balancing. Talk to your family about how it
was easier to balance on the firm foundation. When we listen to God’s Word and
do what it says, our lives are on a firm foundation and even when the storms
come, we can still stand. But if we listen to God’s Word and don’t do what it
says, our lives will be as shaky as trying to balance on the bouncing bed or cushions.
