Helping Others & Praying For My Needs

Kingdom Tales - Elementary

Lesson Goal: The children will learn that we should help people in need, even if it means risking our own comfort and safety.
Bible Story: Esther saves the Jews (Esther)
Main Point: I Will Take A Risk to Help Others!
Bible Verse: John replied, "If you have two shirts, give one to the poor. If you have food, share it with those who are hungry." (Luke 3:11b NLT)
Parents: The best way to teach your kids the importance of helping others is to help others! Let your kids see you serving at your local church, donating to a charity, and helping your neighbors, friends, and family! Give your kids examples of how your family has helped others in the past, and let them know the risks you take to do it (time, money, safety, comfort).
A great opportunity to help others in the local community is coming up in the Life Impact Garage Sale on Sat., April 9th. We're taking donations, and would love for you to come out and volunteer. Email tiffany@newlifewired.com for more information!

Kingdom Tales - Pre-School

Lesson Goal: The children will learn that they can ask God for the things they need in their lives.
Bible Story: Solomon's request (1 Kings 3:3-14)
Main Point: Gloves of Prayer: I Will Ask God For What I Need
Parents: With your children, identify some of your family's past, present, and future needs. Pray together. Thank God for what He has provided, and ask Him to provide for the needs you currently have.

Bible Reading Plan: The book of Esther. I really encourage you this week to read the book of Esther with your children, especially if you're not familiar with it or haven't read it in a while. It is one amazing story!!
