MAIN POINT: Opportunities Are A Gift From God!
BIBLE STORY: Esther’s opportunity to save her people. (Book of Esther)
BIBLE VERSE: “Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.” Galatians 6:10 (NLT)

Take some each evening to read through the book of Esther with your child. Have them point out all the opportunities that God gave Esther to help to save her people. Take time and talk through some opportunities you or your child may have that God has given you to help others. Think about what you did with those opportunities and begin to look for opportunities to come up to make a difference around you, even in the simple things.

Bible Story: Moses and the Burning Bush
Bible Verse: “...listen, and pay close attention.” Isaiah 28:23b (NLT)

This week take time with your child to talk about listening. Talk about who you should listen to and what you should be listening for. Praise your child when he/she listens when you tell them something the first time. Maybe even play some whispering game with them to get them to sit still and really listen to what you say.
