I Will Pray
This Week’s Bible Verse: “I love the Lord because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy.” Psalm 116:1 (NLT)
This Week’s Main Point: I Will Pray!
This Week’s EXCLUSIVE: Jesus Prays in the Garden of Gathsemane Mark 14:32-42
Family Activity:
Gather your family together and remind them that God wants us to pray to Him. One way we can do that is to pray for each other. Have family members share one request with the group. Write each request on a card. Give each family member a card from another family member and encourage everyone to pray for that person’s request through the week. Plan at least one family prayer time when you all gather and each person uses the card to pray for his or her assigned person’s request. Check on family members throughout the week and make sure that they are spending a little time each day praying. Meet up again at the end of the week and talk about how it felt to have someone praying for you and how it felt to pray for someone else. See if any of the prayers were answered and repeat each week.

Main Point: I Will Pray!
Bible Story: Jesus prays in the Garden of Gethsemane - Mark 14:32-42 (NLT)
Bible Verse: “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:16 (NLT)
Family Activity - Prayer Cube
Use the attached paper and make a cube. Gather your family together as ask each person to tell you something about prayer. They might tell you that prayer is talking to God or that you can pray about anything. Once every person has told what prayer is, pull out the cube. Each person can take a turn and roll the cube. Use the following key to guide your discussion.
Cube Key:
• Anywhere: Where can you pray? (At home. In the car. At the park. At school. At the restaurant.)
• Anytime: When can you pray? (Bedtime. At meals. When I’m sad. When I’m happy. When I need a friend. When I feel scared. When I have a bad dream.)
• Anything: What can you pray about? (My friends. My family.
Thankfulness. When I feel sad, happy, or scared.)
After everyone has rolled the cube, you can pray and ask God to help you remember to pray to Him anywhere, anytime, and about anything.

I Will Serve Others!
This Week’s Bible Verse: For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many” Mark 10:45 (NLT)
This Week’s Main Point: I Will Serve Others!
This Week’s EXCLUSIVE: The Last Supper and washing of the disciples’ feet John 13:1-17
Family Activity:
Use a broom to play limbo with your family. Talk about how in limbo you had to get as low as possible to get under the broom in order to win. Remind your family that when Jesus washed the feet of the disciples, He was doing a job that the lowest servant would do. The lowest servant was the one with the least important, or lowest, position. That servant had to do the lowest, or least desirable, jobs. Jesus was teaching His disciples that we should be willing to serve others by doing things for them. Point out to your family that a broom, like the one used in the game, is used to sweep and clean. Many times cleaning is considered a lowly task, meaning it is a task that no one really wants to do. However, one way to serve others is to seek out a lowly task and do it. Ask each family member to choose from a list of cleaning tasks to do this week. Check up on them during the week to make sure they have completed the task they chose and to thank them for serving the rest of the family by completing that task.

I Will Be Kind To Others!
Bible Story: Jesus washes the Disciples Feet - John 13:4-6 (NLT)
Bible Verse: “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 (NLT)
Family Activity - Acts Of Kindness
Sit down as a family and make a list of kind things you can do for someone outside your immediate family. For example, you could take baked goods to the fire station or help a neighbor clean up the yard.
Remind your family that Jesus did something kind for His disciples by washing their feet. Then, talk about how Jesus told His disciples to go and do kind things for others. Remind them that because we follow Jesus, we should do kind things for others.
Put the list in a prominent place in your house so everyone can see it, and chose one of the things on the list to do each week this month. Pray together about
the acts of kindness that will be done and the effect it will have on the people
receiving them.

I Will Show That Jesus Is Number One In My Life!
This Week’s Bible Verse: “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross daily, and follow me.” Luke 9:23b (NLT)
This Week’s Main Point: I Will Show That Jesus Is Number One In My Life!
This Week’s EXCLUSIVE: Jesus’ Triumphal Entry on Palm Sunday Luke 19:29-40
Family Activity:
Have family members secretly write down their favorite, or number one things. Have categories that make sense for your family. Some suggested categories are: number one place to sit, number one TV show, number one song, number one singer/band, number one meal. Hold the cards where no one can see them and then ask family members to see if they can guess the number ones from each person’s card. After the guessing game, discuss how sometimes it was easy to guess what someone’s number one thing was and sometimes it wasn’t. Ask the members of your family to describe how each person shows that something is number one in his or her life. For example, how do you show that ____ is your number one TV show? Tell your family that sometimes we do a good job of showing what is number one in our lives and sometimes we don’t. When something is truly important to us, we should show it. We should all work harder to make sure that others can tell that Jesus is the number one, most important thing in our lives.

I Will Worship Jesus!
Bible Story: Palm Sunday and the Triumphal entry - Matthew 21:1-11 (NLT)
Bible Verse: “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 (NLT)
Family Activity - Worship Charades
Write down eight activities on pieces of paper. Make four of them ways to worship (Prayer, singing, offering, reading the Bible) and four of them other things (Cleaning up the room, eating dinner, playing a game, running).
Have each person in the family draw one piece of paper and act out what is on the paper. The rest of the family will try to guess what that person is acting out and if it is a way to worship God. Wrap up the activity by agreeing to worship God every day!
