This Week in NewLife Kids

Starlight Staion - Elementary & Pre-K

Main Point: Servant Leaders Forgive Others

Bible Story: Joseph reveals his identity to his brothers Genesis 45:1-15

Memory Verse: “Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends.” Proverbs 17:9 NLT

The Children learned that as servant leaders we should always be willing to forgive other people even if they hurt our feelings, let us down, and sometimes make us mad. Sometimes this is a very hard lesson to learn and even harder to put into practice. This week look for examples to help reinforce this lesson to your child/ren. Take time to talk about feelings and how we can overcome our natural tendencies to stay mad.

Memory Verse: “And may the Lord make us keep our promises to each other, for he has witnessed them.” 1 Samuel 20:23 NLT

To do this we must be reliable and always do what we say we will do. People are watching to see if we will follow through with our words and take those words and act on them.
