Under The Big Top - Elementary
MAIN POINT: Other People Are A Gift From God!
BIBLE STORY: God sends Aaron to help Moses. (Exodus 3 & 4)
BIBLE VERSE: “Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed.” Ecclesiastes 4:9 (NLT)
This week we learned that God has placed people in our lives all around us to help us to be all that God intends for us to be. It is so great to know that we don't have to live our life by ourself with no one to help us. Sometimes we take advantage of the people in our lives and we do not remember to be thankful that God has placed them here to work with us. Take time this week to acknowledge the people not only in your child's life but also in your life.
Under the Big Top - Pre-K and Toddlers
Main Point: I Will Control My Anger
Bible Story: Balaam’s donkey (Numbers 22:21-35)
Bible Verse: “People with understanding control their anger.” Proverbs 14:29a NLT
This week we talked about anger and how we need to control ourselves when we get mad. Look for times this week to reinforce this lesson to your child. Have them STOP and THINK - I will control my anger.
See you next week Under The Big Top.

This Week In NewLife Kids
Under The Big Top - Elementary
MAIN POINT: I Will Use My Gifts To Share Jesus With Others!
BIBLE STORY: Disciples share the Gospel at Pentecost. (Acts 2:1-41)
BIBLE VERSE: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8 (NLT)
The children learned that we can share the good news of Jesus with others by using the unique gifts and talents that God has given us. God made each of us a one of a kind masterpiece with talents that only we can use. Children need to be encouraged to use those talents every day. Just like the boy in the bible with 2 little fishes and 5 loaves of bread. God used that little bit to multiply and feed thousands.
Under The Big Top - Per-K and Toddlers
Bible Story: Samson (Judges 13-16)
Main Point: I Will Obey My Parents
Bible Verse: “Children, obey your parents because you belong to the Lord,” Ephesians 6:1a NLT
Today we talked about obeying our parents. The children were encouraged every day to do what parents say - when parents say it. This Week praise your child when he/she obeys you. Tell them that they are doing what God has asked them to do when they obey their parents.

Family Activities for this Week
Elementary: Family Activity
CHART THE OPPORTUNITY
Esther was given the opportunity to save the lives of her people. God gives us opportunities to do the right thing and impact the world for Him. Opportunities are chances to do something we don’t normally do, or to do something for people we don’t normally meet. When we see the opportunities God puts in front of us and take those opportunities, we can impact the world for Him. This week, pray and ask God to help you see opportunities for your family. Then watch carefully for them. Some examples are a neighbor who needs help with a chore, a public area that needs to be cleaned up, or a homeless shelter that needs volunteers. Write the opportunities that you see on a chart. When you participate in one of the opportunities, check it off on your chart. Keep adding to your family’s opportunity chart and work to be like Esther and take the opportunities that God gives you!
Pre-K and Toddler
Family Activity
Moses listened and did what God told him to do. We need to listen closely when people tell us what to do. God wants us to be good listeners so that things can go well for us. Help your children practice listening well. As a family, play a game of Mom (or Dad) Says. Give directions for everyone to follow, beginning with the words “Mom says.” If you don’t say “Mom says” first, the person who does that direction is out. Throughout the game, remind your family that they must listen carefully in order to stay in the game. At the end of the game, tell your children that they should listen to God when they pray and they should listen to you. List others that they should listen to, as well. Get specific and name their teachers at school and church, anyone who takes care of them during the day, relatives, and any other adults they should listen to and obey. Encourage your children to listen closely to God and the important people God places in their lives.

This Week In NewLife Kids
Under The Big Top - Elementary
MAIN POINT: Opportunities Are A Gift From God!
BIBLE STORY: Esther’s opportunity to save her people. (Book of Esther)
BIBLE VERSE: “Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.” Galatians 6:10 (NLT)
Take some each evening to read through the book of Esther with your child. Have them point out all the opportunities that God gave Esther to help to save her people. Take time and talk through some opportunities you or your child may have that God has given you to help others. Think about what you did with those opportunities and begin to look for opportunities to come up to make a difference around you, even in the simple things.
Under The Big Top Jr. – Pre-K and Toddlers
Main Point: I Will Listen!
Bible Story: Moses and the Burning Bush
Bible Verse: “...listen, and pay close attention.” Isaiah 28:23b (NLT)
This week take time with your child to talk about listening. Talk about who you should listen to and what you should be listening for. Praise your child when he/she listens when you tell them something the first time. Maybe even play some whispering game with them to get them to sit still and really listen to what you say.
**Remember to learn the memory verse for this week** See you next Sunday!
